LOOK: glass pond

Yet more glass paint. This cutting board used to be a table top. I really like to paint on glass. We used to put a bright light under this and project giant fish on our ceiling. (Three pics.)

BOOK: Swamplandia, NaNoWriMo

Happy first day of NaNoWriMo! I'm very excited to be participating, and sweating the word count already.  I'm catching fish, as David Lynch put it. Speaking of quirky, this one was just recommended to me....

LOOK: most beautiful frog in the room

This one's for Katie. Here's a charming little box I found. K & T Frogspot, all day....

HOOK, LOOK, UKE: trees in a button

I just bought this button for a crocheted Uke Sweater (TM) gig bag I plan to make for Samir, my concert uke (whose name means "Entertainer.")

Now my pink guest towel is worthy of a Goa resort. Mmm, saffron...

I'm enjoying this one quite a bit. Inspiration for NaNoWriMo!

The perfect ceramic pitcher for Popeye's best girl, (Olive Oil) snapped up for a mere dollar at the local thrift store.

UKE: Dia De Los Muertos

My neighbor plays this soprano. It's beautiful, and it sounds really good, too. (Now it travels in style, in THIS awesome gig bag.)

BOOK: An Evil Guest

"Lovecraft meets Bladerunner ...." Wow! Looking forward to this one. I really like Gene Wolfe. Since I signed up for NaNoWriMo, though, and will also be participating in NaNoFiMo, it will be a while before I dive into it....

LOOK: Salwar Saturday

Cotton Rangmanch Salwar from Amazon: Delighted with this. You can't see the black straw
Pork-Pie hat too well here, but it goes perfectly!

HOOK: window dressing

Bland and boring, NO MORE! You can dress up your blinds; crochet your favorite edging, gigantic style, in worsted weight, and hang it with a few binder clips and twist-tie "hooks." CLOSE UP shot below this one. (Hmm. Makes an interesting idea for a fancy winter scarf, too, now that I think about it....)

BOOK: A Spaniard

This is on my wish list. A first, at the time, from a well-known genius and VERY silly man.

BOOK: a loop around the sun, vol. 1

A Loop Around The Sun, Vol. 1   is a lovely compendium of short poetry, divided into five brief volumes. Each poem is a selection from a project to write one poem every day for an entire year.
